Default f22a4 mild build

i wanted to do a mild build that would get me to around 165-170hp. this is my idea:

i/h/e [already have]
bisi stage 2 cam
skunk2 cam gear
chipped p06

do you guys think this is enough to reach my hp goals?

i think you are going to need some more compression or a bigger cam to reach those numbers.

Doable.

But... you're not really "building" anything.

Op, I know your's a F22A but I just want to give you an idea how much you'll put out for a SOHC Non VTEC.

This is my setup when I still had my F22B1

-F22B1 5spd(127K)
-Bis Level 2 VTEC cam
-Skunk2 cam gear
-F23A IM
-Megan header
-AEM SRI
-2.25" exhaust piping
-Tuned on Hondata S100 P28 chipped

I didn't get it dyno & tuned as I bought the Hondata S100 tuned for my setup from another state. My guestimation puts out around 140whp. As the guy I bought the ECU from had a similar build as mine who puts out 143whp on the dyno with bisi level 2 VTEC cam.

I say get a F22A6 head with a bisi stage 2 cam and you should put out greater numbers for a SOHC due to the better air flow in the A6 head and PNP the head, high comp pistons, etc to reach 160-170whp on the dyno.

the A6 head only differs by its slightly more aggressive camshaft. the A6 intake manifold, however, is a ton better.

to the OP, the only parts you listed that would add any power would be the I/H/E and cam. those alone would definitely not get you to the numbers you're wanting.
my suggested parts list:
-I/H/E
-F22A6 intake manifold or H23 intake manifold (pretty similar to my knowledge. H23 might be a little better)
-Bisimoto stage 2 cam
-about any adjustable cam gear should be fine; bisi, skunk2, aem (just don't go the ebay route for a part like this)
-port and polish your head
-a good tune on a chipped ecu

that still probably won't get you to 165-170, but will be a pretty noticeable difference

I've heard great reviews about the A6 head & the cam itself from many CB owners as I've never had one myself. So I took that as if the head really has great air flow.

Either way, the OP will need more to get up to that range of whp that he wanted.

Agreed with those above me.

You'll need a bump in compression and try to open the head up as much as your budget allows. Might want to look into slightly bigger injectors and look into porting out the IM and grabbing a bigger TB.

That should get you on your way to your goal. Also the skill of your tuner will play a deciding factor.
