Have Spark, No Fuel. Replace pump still wont start
Hello everyone I need some help.
I have a friends 2000 Accord Ex ULEV. 220K Miles
Car started having problems starting for a few days then left him dead.
Car will turn but wont start. Has spark. Car will start with ether.
Can not hear fuel pump prime, so we thought that with 220k the pump may of died. Replaced pump and sock, but pump will still not prime. No CEL, all other systems work.
So I think it is something electrical. Does anyone have pinout/diagrams for the power connector to the fuel pump? Or the relay? Electrical is a bit of an unknown to me, so any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

do you hear the fuel pump click on? can you check with a multimeter at the pumps connectors when the key is turned?
normally, in the hot summer, Hondas far and wide suffer from the main relay solder joints failing. do a search, there are plenty of sites teaching how to resolder the relay.

hi
The main relay controls the ignition circuit and fuel circuit so well worth starting there.
Try removing it form casing, plugging back in and seeing if both circuits operate.
I re-soldered every joint on mine a doused liberally with WD40, free'd relay and no problems since.
Hope this helps

Got a Relay at cost so I decided to skip the soldering and just replaced it.
Regardless got the new one in and sure enough it starts. Thanks for all the help.
