Okay so the main fuse relay went out i replaced it now the car is bogging out and won't stay running. I adjusted the throttle cable, started it up and its reving about 1200 rpm and stays running fine until i put it in gear then it dies out. anybody have this problem before? sounds like fuel to me but could be something totally different.

I changed the fuel pump , filter, and relay and i also pulled the injectors and clean them off as best as i could..

 

Did the symptom begin the MOMENT after you replaced the main relay?

 

The car started bogging out like it wasn't getting fuel, I turned the car off then back on drove it down the road then it wouldn't start at all. So my first test was fuel I found out it wasn't getting fuel so i checked the fuel pump found out it wasn't getting power so i changed the main relay, as soon as i did that fuel pump started working. The car started but wouldn't stay on so i changed the fuel filter, took the injectors off and cleaned them. Now it starts up fine sounds alot better but as soon as i put it in drive it won't stay on it bogs out and dies?

 

I also took the throttle body off and cleaned the air control valve it was clogged up pretty good. I'm waiting for a gasket so i can put it back on and try that. I also noticed there was a small crack in the hose that goes from the intake manifold to the fuel regulator. Could that be the whole problem?

 

The idle air control valve isn't a bad place to start. Let us know what happens when you put it back together.

 

Ok so i got everything back together, started it up sounded great, put it in gear sounded great, drove it 5 miles ran good then it died and won't start at all??

 

Does the fuel pump prime?

Is there bright white spark at the plugs?

CEL codes?

 

yeah it primes pressure is @40psi. no codes.

Ok this is crazy I'm not getting spark now. What could cause this? The distributor was replaced last year.
