Default engine safety feature?

recently blew the motor in my 97 civic. i found a car online that was wrecked and the guy said the motor runs good has only 130,000 on it. he said the only thing is he cant get it to start since it rolled over. Is there any type of safety switch or sensor that would cause it to not start from being rolled?btw its a 95 coupe with vtec. thanks.

theres power going to it. i remember on a d series engine i put in for someone, i had to jump a relay for the fuel pump or something, its been awhile so i dont remember exactly, because of the engine being out of the car and rolled around, then once i started it one time it was fine after that.
