have a d16z6. story is bro in law wrecked his coupe. bought one with a z6 that ran like ****. put his in and runs great. now i have the z6 out of the new car and i want to use it. suposedly when we bought the car he said it will run hot. drinks water and if u pull the plugs and spin it over it will shoot water out the plug holes. now what the hell could this be. poor head gasket replacement, warped head, cracked sleeve? what. i hope jus head gasket. if there is any info u could provide i would appreciate it. oh last night pulled the head and put a straight edge and head and block look good to my naked eye. but was water between head, gasket and block. lol.thanks

 

i would say either a bad HG or maybe a prob with the head being warped being he had it HOT before more than once

 

I agree, replace the waterpump while ur down there though. Prob just hg unless he overheated it several times or just once for a long time.

 

ok well thanks alot for the help guys. i really appreciate it. im hopin jus head gasket.. but gonna change gasket and pump. hope to get my damn hatch runnin soon. i hate seein it jus sit there in teh yard collecting spiders and grass growin around it.

YEA. lol. we all kno money isnt the easiest thing to get ahold of, so cant buy head gasket and pump til payday. bills first. dammit. lol but will let ya kno if this works out,. it better. lol
