99 base. Front wheel bearings?
so my front wheel bearings have been bad for a long time now. need to replace them.. heard that if you drive on bad bearings it messes up the hub. I know they have to be pressed in and out, so i was thinking, about buying just two new front hubs. but autozone said they are dealer only parts??
How long have you been driving with it bad? It's gotta get pretty hot to warp or get screwed up from the bad bearing.. I'd personally take it off and check it out before buying one, but I can afford the downtime, I understand some people can't.
As for your question, I've never seen front hubs sold alone anywhere other than honda. They're $100 a piece though, which isn't horrible when you compare it to aftermarket rear bearing/hub prices.. which can be $160 easily.
Check junkyards. It's a chunk of metal, it's not a bad part to buy used. Just make sure the threads are good, or get new studs pressed in.
Good luck.
Let me know if you DO end up finding some aftermarket hubs, I'd be interested..

That's hubs WITHOUT bearings just so you know.
Go to hondapartsnow or majestic honda online. If you go to your local dealer, they will definitely NOT be $100. I prefer hondapartsnow.com..
