air craft remover safe?
is it safe for the tires to slightly touch air craft remover? I am in the process of redoing my wheels but dont want to pay extra to get all my tires remove. Im trying my best not to let it touch to tires but it might happen. thanks in a advance
Pick up some heavy gauge plastic from your local home improvement store. That will prevent any major contamination. Actually you could even use self adhesive floor covering, that stuff is very thick and tough.
Would never recommend it from use on a finished surface but on your tires, I don't see how it could really hurt if the stuff will come off carpet without damage.

i stripped my rims with aircraft remover once... it touched the wheels, never had a problem... but to be safe u could mask it off... dont think u'd need to completely cover it, unless you're an idiot.
I just figure it's easier to just cover the tire so you don't have to worry about overspray when you paint either.
Don't know about you, but I don't like cleaning up overspray on tires.
