Default Do I need factory brakes?

Hi all,

This is my first post...

So I got aftermarket brakes on my 02 TL and they have been making a terrible squealing noise for the past thousand miles so they've had enough time to brake in. The dealer says I need the Acura factory brakes for this to stop squealing, but functionally my brakes are fine.

Is this true?

yes...sometimes cheaper aftermarket brake pads will cause brake noises. it's in the poor quality pad compound. the OEM pads wont make those noises.
