anyone know what causes for the obd2 slot not to work i have tried differnt code readres its defitnly the slot????? check engine is on and im having a speedo problem probly the vss???

 

my 99 did this years ago when i was trying to get it emissions inspected. Turned out it was some bullshit fuse that was blown. Car was stock as hell with a VAFC. As soon as the fuse was replaced it worked perfectly fine. Been so long i cant remember what fuse it was. just check them all if you havnt already

 

check your diag port fuse. should be in the under the dash fuse box.
