have a question about obd2 cars?
how do i get the scanner for obd2 cars to check for codes on a p73. in other words i just put a swap in my car with a jdm obd2 p73 and the scanner wont read it. i just want it to read it for emmissions. thank for the help.

no, i have a scanner. the problem is that my ecu wont communicate with the scanner. in other words when i plug the scanner in and nothin happens.

00jdmcivic is my buddy.... here's the problem. he has a 2000 JDM CTR swap w/ a P73 ECU in a 2000 civic DX HB. we have tried using a snap-on scanner and HONDA PGMFI scanner and it just comes up w/ "ERROR". Does the scanner port wires / pinouts have to be changed in order to have the scanner read?

why do u need to use the scanner is the check engine lite on cant u jus use a jump wire and check manually
