ITR rears on EK, hardware Qs
Okay, so I've been trying to put ITR suspension on my 00 Civic for a while now. Its my first time doing an install like this and its turning into a nightmare.
I asked here before what needed to be done so I ordered the F7 LCAs for my aplication and that's all fine. The fronts went on without a hitch really, all the bolts came off.
The rears however were a different story. I snapped the head off the bolt that goes through the trailing arm, so I had to hacksaw it out (couldn't get any of my cutters up in there). Then, I still couldn't turn the damn bolt that remained so I broke the nut off that is spot welded on to the rear trailing arm. So, what are my alternatives for replacing that nut?
Also, I called honda and they didn't have the hardware I needed, so I figured since its type-R suspension I could go to Acura. They only had three of the six bolts I needed ($45!) and I'm not even sure if one of them I got is right. Can anyone tell me if the shorter bolt I have here will do the job? When I put it through the LCA it seems as though there's still a few threads inside the hole if that makes sense.

I would really appriciate anyone's input because this is really starting to suck and I'm thinking I should have just payed someone to do it. I'm worried that its not going to be safe now when I'm done.

I would try and get a bolt as long as the others, and just stick a nut on the end.
The shorter bolt may work, but i know i would feel alot safer with a longer bolt so the threads go threw the end of the bolt when fully tighend.
Or, you could always have another nut welded back on.

Ack, I just looked up the part # on here:
http://www.hondapartsunlimited.com/i...00&version=2DR DX&transmission=KA4AT§ion=CHASSIS&components=R EAR LOWER ARM&submit=submit
It says the short one I have is for "90172-S04-003 BOLT, FLANGE (10X68) 2000 CIVIC ". Damn it, it was a $10 bolt!
What kind of nut do I have to get? Where can I get that kind of stuff? I don't know anything about nuts!

you're right, although i'm running home depot bolts in my car and a buddys car. both of ours had that broken bolt syndrom. IF you really want the security, you can go to napa. they have automotive grade bolts in all pitches and diameters.
