timing belt wont fit with low comp. head gasket....now what?
i got a b16 ef pr3 head p30 block with stock pistons so im using a 2.5mm head gasket and water meth injection instead of goin forged, the problem i have now is that the timing belt will NOT fit...so my question is do "they" sell slightly larger timing belts or a more adjustable tensioner... i also tried using a p72 timing belt but it was much too large... i would appreciate any help thanks
use a b16 belt trust me it will fit .. grab a helms manual to help you out .. u are clearly not doing it right ..
and i do not know of any larger timing belts
and i do not know of any larger timing belts
when u say clearly not doing it right does that mean im am supposed to stretch it because it will clearly not fit with out doing so i have been using the haynes manual aswell and have been using the recomended method....with the tensioner pryed as far as it will go the belt with no slack is still a whole tooth length below the cam gear...trusting u does not make it easier my man thanx tho
really no problems.... i got the .096 i believe and been fn with it everyday with no luck.... i start at the crank then to the tensioner then pump then cold then hot cam gears but theres no way i can stretch it over the intake cAM sprocket is there another order

it should be going in this order, crank-exhaust cam and then installing the intake cam last. on the water pump it will say either 22t or 19t you need to match the correct belt to the pump hope that helps
I think your problem is that it doesnt fit exhaust cam to crank cause of headgasket. Use adjustable cam gears, i have to fit it like that because i have milled so much head for more compression ratio d16 with vitara.
