Default Help. where to buy complete built b18c motors?

have been out of the game for a while. last build was a toda/portflow street motor. i now have no time to build and would like a complete swap crated/shipped to my residence to swap into the chassis of my choice. warranty on the motor would be great...no mods will be done to it. It will be run as it comes. What builders are around the H-T forums that are reputable. looking for a mid-high compression motor 11:1 -11.5:1...just ready to drop in and rip. If i cant find anything built, then a stock JDM b18c r motor will have to do.

thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I dont know any engine builders that already have ready built setups sitting on the shelf. From our experience, alot of the builds were so different from one another, that each engine build is specific to each customer's request.

It would be best to talk to an Engine Specialist and plan out the build in detail so you get the proper parts for your goals.

Absolutely. There are plenty of reputable companies like King Motorsports that will allow you to have them build an engine to specifications that both you and King would like, but no one will have this "on the shelf" like a crate motor from Summitt. You'll need to give these companies a call, and they will more than likely have you send a long block to them.

So, for example, if you used King, you would purchase an engine from Hmotorsonline, and have them ship the engine to King so that they may build and prep the engine, AFTER you've given them a reasonable deposit to allow them to tear the engine apart and rebuild. Once they have completed the engine, they can ship to you with certain instructions, so that you can install it into the car, and go to a competent tuner.

That's pretty much the only way to do it.

Please note King motorsports was used as an example, because they have done this in the past with the right customer. I'm sure there are other reputable operations that can do that as well.

yes most engine builders require you to send in a block core or full engine core. Some can provide the core for you for an addtional charge if you dont want to start off with a full swapover from HMO. In my opinion, if you're tearing it apart anyways, theres no need to start with a good working swapover. find a block core and cylinder head and go from there.

he'll need to make sure that all the "little things" are with it. Based upon what he's trying to do, it may be best to have an engine that has a better chance of "running" than piece-mealing it together if he has nothing to start with.
