Default attn: skunk2 gsr manifold users....

has anyone has problems with coolant leaking into the #4 intake runner via the coolant pass through the intake manifold flange? I'm loosing some coolant(not leaking onto the ground. I have recently switched to the new VW/Ford/Gm orange coolant and wonder if this may have a slight cause.
any suggestions?

I had that same problem when I USE TO run that crap. it is leaking from the coolant line that goes into the head by #1 it is the big one. it leaks from the inside of the cast.

If installed correctly, I would think there shouldn't be any leaks...

I installed mine yesterday and I was wondering where the smaller coolent tube on the flange needs to be used. Cause right now I just have it plugged and it is running fine.

I found the quality of the Sk2 manifolds to not always be that great...there isn't really much of an alternative to them though, so just live with it.

what he said!!! The smaller secondary coolant line should be plugged if you route the coolant lines the way they are ran on the stock mani..... I would take it to a radiator shop and have them soldier it closed to make it alittle more durable though.

Default Update:

Problem ended up being a verly slight leak from the thermostat housing that was ever-so-slowly dripping onto my JDM 4-1. Therefore no ground leaks. Replaced the hose adn all is well.
