What should I do? big brake kit sucks
I have a problem guys, I want to go to the track soon and trying to get the most out of my street build. My setup is a 92 civic si hatch with a b18c5 golden eagle sleaved 9.5 /1 bottom end with a b16 head with springs and retainers and all the good stuff. Edelbrock victor x intake manifold and an inline pro log style exhaust holding up my gt35r , with a 4 inch alunimum v band exhaust . I am tuned on neptune and make low 400 ish on about 18lbs pump gas. Soo my problem is that on my car I have the willwood big brake kit and that limits me to a 15 inch wheel. I have teckio shocks and speed line springs with an inch and 1/4 drop soo I dont have alot of good opitons on what tire to run . I would like to run a 26 inch tall slick but dont think its going to fit and i am thinking of just cutting the fenders out a little to get them under the fenders . Any one have any ideas or had same problem
First of all, why do you want to use 26" slicks on a car that only makes 400hp.
There are cars running 24.5" slicks on 900-1000hp, you dont need 26" slicks.
At your low 400hp, you can get away with a 23x8.5x15 or a 24.5x8.5x15 slick. Those will fit better with your stock fenders. Another thing is look into getting coilover suspension so you can adjust the ride height to clear the slicks better.

Yes I know that is what every one is going to say , thats what I ran on my all motor set up . I have a set of skinys for the rear and 26 inch tall mikeys for free so thats what I am thinking of using . every thing you guys have said is gona cost more money and just having a baby kinda drains the race car funds lol
Its a flat green and I think its sweet what you guys think? more pics?

Its not the right tire for you. Most likely, the gearing of your trans and the tire size isnt going to work right. Its too big for the HP you have. Plain and simple, dont use it.

So I dont need side wall flex to absorb initial shock after pre loading ? Being from maryland I have seen some fast hondas at MIR and what not and lots have been on a 26 but yes I have seen some 24.5s but mostly on a 13inch wheel and what offset do i need on my willwood brakes because My rotas hit so i needed to put spacers so will it all work if I get 24.5 and new wheels should I get wider than 7.5 inch or what ?
Its my skinys lol but thanks. I am tring to get a ramhorn manifold for my car because my log inline pro is wanting way to much timing to make power and we think its holding me back . So i may sell the seats to fund this unless someone wants to buy my inlinepro ?
s2k fronts on s2k seat rails welded to fit eg
and rsx typr s rear that are welded to fit eg

There's a guy on here called evo1 he made my ram horn manifold and came out perfect. I think better than some peakboost and other name stuff. I got pics if u want some..
With my set up traction bars dont wana work because my i/c piping is in the way. I had a set and sold it. Any one want to trade a good name top mout manifold for s2k seats ? also if i just put stiffer bushings in the front end will that help just as much?
i had itr brakes all around, i still do in the back hahaa 4lug front 5 rear.
after arguing with the car trying to make it work, i did pretty well with 15x8s, but sold the fronts, put gsr spindles on it, and went 13" wheel. never looked back.
