Well, I found those 2 machine shops that seem to be good.

One is

Mesa Balancing
(305) 884-5368
1075 E 16th St, Hialeah, FL 33010

the other is

South Florida Crank and machine
525 S H St, Lake Worth, FL, 33460
561-533-9932

What do you guys suggest? Ive heard that both are really expensive, but I don't care to pay more if a good job is done!

my machine shop doing my.b20 is charging me about $500 bucks to bore and hone, deck, micropolish crank, balance the rotating assembly, and jet wash. I don't know if that's expensive because it is my fiat experience with a machine shop. just my $.02

I think that balancing the rotating assembly is the most expensive part, probably worth of $150 out of this $500...

I have around $300 to spend, I hope the block doesn't need to be decked, or aligned. And I don't care for jet wash, I can wash and clean the block myself.

I noticed that the sleeve is way thinner in one side, they are perfectly aligned with the HG, it seems like the casting is out of center idk if that is possible..

Now, is that gonna be a big problem? It's going to be the first B20Vtec in my country so I have 0 experience with this sleeves..

I plan to keep the revs lower than 8500, if possible, arround 8200˜8300 rev limit to give the motor a longer life. THe whole setup is designed for this area.

for an rpm of 8500 there really is no need to balance the bottom end honda motors are balanced very well from the factory unlike v8 builds

Well, I picked the motor up at Mesa balancing today, the crank was untouched, it is in such a good condition, I don't want to mess with it.

But my concern now is with the sleeves

It looks like the thin side is on the exhaust side correct? Thats also the thrust side during the power stroke...Hmmmm...Do you usually have good luck?

Go for it and cross your fingers! You already got alot of time and $ into it. If it works great! If the sleeve cracks, youll probably have symptoms of a blown headgasket and possible oil/coolant mixing...

Dont worry about it. For what you are planning to do, you will be absolutely fine.

Thanks for the good input.

I will try to keep the revs down, fingers crossed, and be extremely cautious with the tune.

Good luck and keep us updated after it gets all together. Curious to see what your personal experience is with them.

hahahaha, sometimes when I look at this side of the sleeve, I feel like I have a 87mm B20 on stock sleeves.

LOL

Damn this is really frustrating..

This block is going to cost me arround 1400$ to get it in my country, with papers and stuff, shipping, bla bla..

I'm gonna take my chances I guess... It's my only option now. When this things break, they usually collapse and blow the **** out of the engine, or just crack and overheat?

=/

Does somebody know if it is possible to sleeve this block with regular dry sleeves?
