i just bought a d15b with p08 ecu it was throwing a 21 for vtec sensor so i changed the to portion with an american vtec sensor and now its throwing a 22 for vtec oil pressure i dont have the green sensor as it did not come on the d15b so i am wondering if the vtec sensor does both on the d15b and thats why the american sensor did not work please advise

P08 ECU will look for a vtec pressure switch (VTPS) OBD1 D15B vtecs came with a pressure switch so i'm guessing you actually ended up with the OBD2 3 stage vtec version.

single switch but did not come with the green switch came with a plug in where the green switch would be asked on a different forum and they said it didnt need it but if it does thats an easy fix

 

hey please help, im having trouble with me vtec not working, i think i did everything. there is no CEL and oil level is fine. i have a d15b running a p28 5 spd. i did have 2 CEL, both for vtec, but i fixed that thinking it would fix vtec, but nope! i changed TPS and still nothing, vss is good. please help, thanks!
