it will add about 10whp. this is the first thing every tuner should do! its absolutely useless.

It will add a couple HP and promote better air flow, depending on the one you get because there are crappy ones, which in turn increases gas milage. Both of these reasons won't be significant but it won't hurt.

You will lose low end torque, something a D-series doesn't exactly have an overabundance of, especially when coupled with an automatic. I mean think about it, you're pulling hot air from the engine bay. Its beyond a waste of time and money.

Well, you're pulling hot air with the stock system as well.

He is correct though, it won't really offer much performance benefit, but it's some cheap underhood bling and they sound sort of cool when you open the throttle so go for it if you have extra cash laying around.

No, it doesn't offer any performance benefit, you will lose power over the stock airbox.

I know they make noise, but again no proof to suport that 3whp you say, or anyone else.

ya'll need to relax. at the end of the day, an intake's gains/losses are too minimal for anyone to really feel. if you do, it's more of a placebo. yeah if you like the sound, go for it. i don't know how many mpg's you'll gain out of it. waste of money IMO because it doesn't do anything for you on a stock motor.

I don't think they are bling, in fact I think a SRI looks rather gay, I think the stock intake box looks much better. I also think they sound like ***. It sounds as if your engine is struggling like hell when you put your foot into it although in reality your not moving anywhere.

Those are just my opinions of course.

You'd be better off removing the stock resonator in the bumper and getting a better filter. I'd save up for a swap before I got a short ram in an auto... and this is coming from someone that did it in the past. It's a waste of money.

I guess you aren't the best at sensing sarcasm.

Anyways, OP, you will notice better throttle response and the car will be a little louder. That's about where the benefits end. Worth it? All up to you.
