Default Possible Electrical Problem with my 2005 Accord

I recently bought a 2005 Honda Accord. It is a v6 with 6-speed manual transmission. It has 63,000 miles.

Yesterday, I was driving down the interstate, when I pulled off of the interstate I had to stop because of traffic. When I tried to put the car into first gear it started making a rapid clicking noise and killed the engine. I was able to start the car again, but a little down the road when I had to stop and go again it happened again, rapid clicking with the engine dying. A little later it happened again and I wasn't able to start the engine, the starter wouldn't turn over.

I had a towing company come get the car and take it to a shop that deals with foreign cars, i.e. Hondas, Acuras, Toyotas, etc., yesterday and they were only able to give it a quick look over and the guy thought that it might be the control module, and that that would be expensive, in the thousand dollar range.

I was hoping that someone has heard of something like this happening.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Just as a follow up, turns out the battery cables were loose on my Accord. The shop ran it today and they had no problems. So, I'm going to go pick it up tomorrow, barring some problem that was hidden.

yeah, somethings up with the battery terminals on the 7th gen accords. It's either they get really dirty easily or they just don't connect well with the battery poles. I've had this same problem before where i thought it was something bigger, but it was just a bad connection with the battery.

One time, i was driving and i took a turn and my car shut off. luckily there weren't any cars nearby and i wasn't going too fast. i checked under the hood, and the negative cable was disconnected. shitty aye? even after i thought i tightened them pretty well.

also make sure you clean or "scrape" the battery poles and the terminal cables. Mine were infested and covered with a black hard substance / rust and once i scraped some of the nickel off, i was getting better sparks and connections.
