That sounds nasty! But doesn't the dynapack give you crank hp numbers? Regardless, that's a lot of power!

 

Very good question. The power absorbed by the dynomometer must go through the gear box first, hence drive train losses are involved. Our tests have shown from a 15-19% drivetrain loss on fwd engines, dependant on gearbox/transmission design.

The only way to get crank numbers on a dyno would be to directly cog the engine, to the dyno (engine dyno).

that and 17:1 comp, a 90mm bore and 1XXmm stroke block running race gas wouldn't hurt. It's not quite a 2.2L anymore.
