Help, how can I break open this gearbox? D16

I have undone all the bolts on the housing and have noticed a C-clip, is it this I need to undo before the housing will seperate? It looks a right pain in the **** to get at.

Any help is appreciated

You have to remove the Clip.

There is a circlip under a large flat "bolt" on the end of the gearbox that has to be spread apart as it holds on a bearing if I remember right,but yes that circlip has to be spread to let the top half of the case come off.
Just get a cheap pair of circlip pliers.
