installing a turbo on a mercedes engine, some intake q's.
hey guys,
so, im installing a turbo on a mercedes m110 engine(that had a mechenical injection) and now im installing a haltech e6s8 on it,
and while removing the intake manifold for some modifications i noticed that the intake manifold flange has a notch in it all over the cylinders , i know that its a vacume source for the PCV system. but i am not sure thats the only purpse of it,
the mechanical injection system is very stupid, and dosnt even have a "IACV" in it,
so mabey it could be a flow balancer of some sort???


should i weld(close) the notches?
