Looking for help/tools with swap SATURDAY 10 AM on Ohio State Campus
Swapping a obd2 d15 vtec (3-stage) into my 99 civic sedan.
*Temporarily using existing y7 ecu. No wiring of vtec required*
Location: Columbus, OH (Ohio State Campus)
Engine: 96-00 jdm d15b vtec
Car: 99 Civic LX Sedan (d16y7)
Off the Y7:
y8 tranny
header
cold air intake
Materials provided by me:
Pay for labor
Antifreeze
Oil
Oil filter
Brake fluid
Food/Drinks, $ for beer
The blown Y7 if anyone wants it, free
Needed:
All tools required EXCEPT: Wrenches & sockets
Someone to take the blown Y7
I already have one or two guys helping out in the area that I found through OhioHondas. Some still may come, and may bring more tools. One big item I still need is a large jack or a cherry picker.
Were shooting to start SATURDAY @ 10:00 AM, but I am guessing it will be a day long project.
Let me know if you'd be willing to help! I am paying for help!

Hell yea! Some c-bus guys got down and dirty in the middle of the night and did work! Swap should be done tomorrow.

i have heard that a cheery picker isnt needed if you jack up the jack and slide it over the motor then drop the car into place then raise the engine with a jack... i havent done this since i always had a cherry picker... put a posting on craigslist for the engine and im sure someone will grab it
i would've helped out with your swap but c-bus is 2.5 hrs from me and i'm at work lol. Good luck with the swap and pics when you're done!
