Default today i blew my engine need some help

I got a 2001 civic i purchased new its a ex automatic. I want to put in a non vtec engine because i can get one cheap and this is just my back and forth to work car. i dont care for vtec. Is there any differents in the brackets wiring or sensors besides the vtec stuff.

no theres not pal. plug and play. youl have to take it to honda to get your ecu programmed to your keys.

so will i have to get a non vtec ecu or can i just hook up the vtec solenoid as if its got vtec

you need a non vtec ecu , as i said , and get it programmed at honda to your keys pal.

car-part.com and get another d17a2 from 2001 to 2005.
