Default High Beam doesn't "lock" on...

This just started happening - my high beams will come on when I pull the switch assembly towards me and the blue cluster light comes on but they go out as soon as I let go. They should stay on until I "click" them again but they go out as if the automatic "lock" isn't working.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this issue short of replacing the switch assembly?

With your headlights on, push it forward instead. Your high beams should stay on.

No, CRX's don't work that way. You have to pull the lever and the high beams should stay on until you pull the lever a second time.

My highbeams lock when I pull them towards me, and I dont have a short nonlocking mode on my lever. Or mine is just broken, either way HIGH BEAMS locks for me on at least one mode. Maybe your lever lock is broken, try replacement maybe?

i'm having the same problem. Just go to the junkyard and pull the lever switch out of a ef hatch/sedan/wagovan. Should be real cheap

My high beams were chancy at best, only coming on about half the time I pulled the lever back...now they don't come on at all. I took the switch apart and cleaned everything, but it made no difference. I didn't see anything wrong with the switch, I guess I'll change it out for a junkyard part and see if it makes a difference.
