CD Player Not Turning On...Please Read...
I have always done all my car audio stuff myself, so this isn't my first time around the block...but it is my first time getting stuck.
I have checked the constant power on the factory harness pin AND on my cd players end of the harness (used a jumper/adapter)
I have checked the switched power on the factory harness pin AND on my cd players end of the harness
I have checked both of the above with a ground source as well as the ground on the harness on both the factory and cd ends AND the car ground with no big differences.
I have checked the fuses for the cd player as well as the fuse panels.
CD is NOT coming on at all. I even put the oem unit back in and it is no longer working. Both cd players worked previously.
Only known issue was the fact that the previous owner wired in some crappy navi that didn't work, but I traced all the wires (were tapped into the original harness) removed those wires, and taped up the small amount of exposed wires.
What could it be?
TIA

What are you using to test the powers and ground?
If you are using a multimeter it has no load so even though it indicates 12V or ground it does so with no load on the lead, use a 12V test light.
Also, connect the HU, [powers and ground] directly to the cars batt. to make sure the HU is not the problem. 94

***EDIT,
found out it was the battery. I guess since yhw battery was low on charge (not dead) it wouldn't turn the radio on. Stupid me.
Yes, I am using a multimeter. I was checking them and not pulling a full 12v, more like high 7s to low 9s...I presumed this was normal?
I can try the deck to the battery, but I was using it only
3-4 days ago, so I presume that is still
fine.
I forgot to say that the battery is dead, when I first bought the car, I detailed it for 7-8hrs with the doors open/closing, and haven't driven it to charge it. That might be why the voltage is lower than 12v
everything still works, just not enough charge to start the car..
