Default water temp gauge rise when headlights on...

my water temp gauge on my ek.... rises above normal when my headlamps are turned on... and it falls back to "normal" when i turn the lights off....

changed the 2 water temp sensors already, 1 which sends signal to ecu, the other to the gauge....

what else should i do? this is my 3rd speedometer, cant be all 3 having this same problem?

well, it only happens when i turn on my lights....

and i do have grounding cables...

help!

sounds like a voltage prob. when u turn the lights on they take away power from the fan causing it not to spin fast enough in turn allowing the coolant to overheat. check voltage coming from alt

make sense but honestly i doubt so, the temp drops immediately after i turn off the lights, the temp wont come down immediately... or i could be wrong?

it should come right down once u turn lights off since fan can now run at optimum speed
