So I guy off craigslist has a 1995 Honda civic (HX) hatchback for sale. I've never heard of a such thing. I thought they only made these hatch's in SI,DX,CX,VX and only made the HX with the Vtec-E for the 96-00 coupes. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I asked him for the vins so I can just do a quick carfax for the car, he said he will give me it tomorrow because it's late at night. He has no sun roof, so I know it's defiantly not an SI. Could possibly be a VX and thought it was an HX

92-95 civics did not come in a HX model trim.

 

that's a vx. no hx was made on the hatchie. HX were even made after 2000.

 

Yeah that's what I thought.

I've never heard of HX hatch's even in Canadian models.

 

Might not even be a VX - hard to tell what it is from those pictures. Doesn't have the VX rims, that's for sure.

 

i can't believe i missed that. OP, be sure that it's a real VX before you buy it. Carfax wouldn't hurt.

 

Yeah, imma car fax it tomorrow morning when he gives me the vin #. VX,CX,Dx doesn't really matter to me. More MPG ftw.

 

Fully painted front bumper and having a passenger side mirror is a DX or Si (but not Si with missing a moonroof). But no side moldings is a CX or VX (not a VX missing the wheels, but all teh CX did not come with hub caps.) ...JDM corner lamps my ***. It's been riced, be careful. Even Carfax is not always acurate, they only have info that is reported to them. I bet it's a VX that's been through hell.

 

Car has been fully repainted - that's not an OEM green for the 5th Gen Hatchbacks.

Above poster is right - CX or VX due to no side mouldings... likely not a DX. Original fully painted front bumper just means it's any 94-95 model, but in this case it doesn't help much b/c the whole vehicle was repainted.

 

PS. Those are some sweet 5-lug hubcaps.
