Default 96-98 power window conversion... which floor harness??????

I am doing a power window and door lock conversion on my 98 hatch. I have the complete doors of a 97 EX coupe. My question is, is it possible to use a auto EX floor harness from a 96-98 civic with power locks and windows on my 98 hatch? I have searched and have looked at many post but none of them have any specifics about auto and 5 speed floor harnesses. thanks for everyones help!

just hardwire it directly to your battery under your fse box. then put a fuse somewhere in between the wires. that way you dont over load it. and bam! didnt even need to change the floor harness, besides thats a pain in the ***.lol

Yes whether its from an automatic car or not the floor harness are the same. But make sure its 96-98 civics though. 99-00 civics are different.

You have a good point however, I am willing to do this conversion the right way the first time. Does anyone know if the auto floor harness from a 96-98 EX is the same from a auto 96-98 and 96-98 5 speed EX?

I don't think it matter. It doesn't hurt to try.

Thanks for the reply. Can anyone else verify that the auto 96-98 EX floor harnesses are the same as 5 speed EX 96-98 floor harnesses?

Do you have the auto floor harness with you?? It should be the same. I will post up some pictures of my 5 speed 96-98 yrs civic hx (don't know exactly what years, I know its 96-98 years because of the body style) floor harness. Some how my USB cord for my camera is at my dad's house. Will post up pictures after work.

Auto and manual Civic EX coupes use the same exact floor harness. The part number is the same (32107-S03-A32).

I believe they are different as additional plugs for rear window regulators/switches.

Four door harnesses are different because they need the extra wiring for the rear doors. I understand you can still use them though. You'll just have extra.

DX hatches will also need their rear wiper wired into any coupe floor harness.

I'd recommend the EX coupe (or Si coupe) floor harness that matches your year span ('96-'98 or '99-'00, whichever your car is).
