Default Dual Point Boggin AGAIN.

Alright, so all of us EF owners have experienced the POS Dual Points and the issues that come with them.

Well, basically my car is boggin like crazy. I recently changed the fuel filter which helped alittle but it started boggin again. My car idles fine and leaves first gear fine but when I go into second or any gear higher, I'll be crusing fine then all of a sudden it'll have the fuel completely cut out, like on and off. I know Dual Points do it every so often but it does it everytime I shift into gear.. Also, when I come to a roll and try to slow down at a stoplight or so, it'll shake mad hard and die out unless I gas it. It'll die before I even come to a stop.. Haha. I know my fuel pump works, my injectors aren't clogged, I got a new fuel filter and recently got new spark plugs and wires. My only ideas that linger is TPS (I doubt) or timing is off, which is kinda doubt too because it's been driving fine up until now. It's a 89 EF 4SP D15, if that helps. Hopefully you HT'ers can help me out. Much appreciated! Thanks.

Ive had the same problems with my car. 91 std 4speed, d15b1 dual point. Take off the cover to the manifold(3 or 4 screws) theres one plate in there that can be taken out and also a mesh egg looking screen take those out. run some seafoam through it, and run a small breather off the valve cover. Eventually you will need to research doing a MPFI swap with peices from a (88-91crx or civic si). The manifold, dizzy, injector box and a few other things. Im currently doing a d16a6 swap which is the civic si motor but im keeping dual point, we'll see how that works out ! No money to do the Multi Point right now.

Alright, cooh. I'm gna try and run some seafoam in the carb to see if it makes a difference. I'm currently running a breather off the valve cover to the intake. So ...I heard re-grounding my car may help? Any info on that?

What do you mean the complete throttle body? Back to another DP or MPFI?

I had a similar problem and my injector clip was broken on the inside from over the 20 years.
