So i few weeks back i bought a d16 si trans,i think.but now its about time to buy a clutch and i have no clue on exactly what trans i have.The only codes i can find on it are stickers.one says s20-1391157, one says c5B p20,and i found a little stamped code that says p20 2any help?

 

The S20 is a 1992-1995 transmission. To verify that it is a D16, look for a small circle cast in the main case near the fill hole. It will be P20 B00 for a D16 or P20 A00 for a D15. Another way to check is to look in the speedometer hole with a flash light at the plastic speedometer drive gear on the differential under the bearing. Black is D16 and white is D15. The "C5B" should be an "LX" model from a 1.5L.

 

alright thanks,ill go take a look at it.i have a d15 so that will fit,but im trying to find the clutch that would fit the both of them.any help there?

 

check the spline count on the shaft coming out the transmission. how ever many teeth will give you an idea of what clutch you can use
