Honda Prelude BB8 2.2 vtec automatic turbocharging
Hello,
I am asking this for a friend that want to turbocharge his honda prelude 2.2 4ws automatic, BB8 model.
Can this automatic gearbox keep up with the powergain or wil it break?
Is it driveble?
How much power can this gearbox handle?
He hopes he can keep the automatic gearbox.
The block remain internal stock, wants to put a bolt on turbo setup like t3/t04
plain simple.
How much psi can the stock block handle safe and how much horse power wil it makes?
Greets..

gearbox will take no more than 180 to 200whp unless he sends it in to get strengthened(is that correct spelling),but i could be wrong, was told my auto will break and xplode and shoot lil metal fragments at me if i boost it....im on 0.6bar t3/t4 with 151wkw and the box is still good.
external oil cooler is a must, run that with the one inside the radiator

THe problem isn't the gears, it's the clutch packs and torque converter. The converter heats up the fluid, breaking it down, which then destroys the clutch packs. A giant trans fluid cooler should be added.
Is it possible to put one gearbox oilcooler?
Isn't this one closed circuit?'
How much power can it handle with this big oil cooler?
greets...
