Anyone who has a Vortech/Comptech supercharger, how happy are you with it??
im considering selling my wheels(volk Ce28) and going back to stock wheels in order to afford a used comptech or vortech supercharger setup. i just feel like for the money i would enjoy a supercharger a little more on a daily basis then a set of wheels. this is my daily driver by the way.
so if you have a SC on your car how happy are you with it? is it worth the money? would you sell Volks and rock stock wheels to be able to have the supercharger?
any input or opinions are helpful, thanks
and im a broke college student so, keeping the wheels and buying a supercharger is not an option here.

broke college students cant afford a dyno, tune and increased gas consumption associated with a supercharger- not to mention higher maintenance of engine to ensure there are no problems down the line
stick with wheels, upgrade to SC after your done school as a nice graduation gift to yourself

ill be able to afford the tune, ive already worked that out i live right by a very reputable shop.
oh yea thats another question, how reliable have your guys setups been? im gonna stick with the pully that comes with the kit not up the boost or anything

You can run 10psi all day without issues as long as it's been tuned. Just my .02c but I've never owned one. I've heard blah things about the vortech though. From my research I'd def. go with the comptech. Although I really wish kraftwerks would get that CARB #.

Rode in a S with a SOS kit and it was a blast. Instant power and it didn't die off at all like I expected it to. It also sounded nice a 9k rpm with the top down.

yeah these guys are right... if youre still in college, wait until you graduate... for now id get some 4.77's... makes the car that much more enjoyable... its cheap and best bang for your buck... plus when your ready to get your SC, you can sell them pretty much for what you paid for them...

Alright thanks guys. Are 4.77 alot better then 4.56 or 4.57?
Also does it get annoying? Cuz this is my daily. Like how high does it sit during freeway driving compared to stock?

personally i was toying with the 4.56 as the 4.77 is a little agressive for me, but i haven't had either as i can't confidently get someone to fit it for me. dammit.
