Aight first a bit about the car.

Its a 91 EF Ex with a b18b1 (94) swap. All converted over and done properly. Been driving it for about a year now after the swap. Today I drove it to work no problem. Just went out to start it and bamm nothing just turns over. Checked and I still have spark. Ive never payed attention before to the fuel pump. But should I be able to hear it in the car? I have no rear seats currently.

So im trying to figure out whats wrong so I can take this thing home. Anyone with some good adivce on what to check for next, please let me know.

And yes ive searched the forums. Alot of unanswered questions and no responses back from the people that had the problem saying if that was it.

 

Got 6 volts to the pump when I checked it with my meter.

 

you can try and check the grounds again, but please explain more and yes your suppose to hear everything check on and make sure the ECU is working.

 

Explain more what? Cars turning over just not starting.

I tore apart the fuel line.. turned it on. no more extra fuel came out. So turned it over and nothing squirted out. So must be the fuel pump.

Where is it and how do I test it?

 

I would say 90% chance a problem with the fuel pump.

 

fuel pump relay is on the drivers side under dash mounted by the hood latch lil black box bout6 to 8 wires going into it

 

sometimes you can unbolt the main relay and bang it a little bit like against the dash while cranking and it will fire up if so time for a relay or fix the one you have

 

fuel pump if you have the fuel line off and you turn the key on fuel should come out of line.

 

Well towed the car home and guess what it gets home and fires up!

So im thinking main relay since that is the fuel relay.

 

its the relay like i said...

Miharkula fuel pump has to have power to work and the power runs threw a relay relay goes bad no power to pump!

change the relay i had one go out in my car for like over a year it would act up and id kick the door panel over there and it would start up with no problems lol or if u slammed the door it would kick it back on.

 

Yea I changed the relay all good.
