No problems here. No noise from the GC sleeves and the Koni yellow's can handle spring rates of 550 lbs/in or so. They'll last for years and if you want to autocross or track the car (more spring rate) they can be revalved at numerous locations (Koni...long wait, Truesports, ProPartsUSA...fast) so you don't have to get an entirely new setup.
It all depends on your spring rate.. If you search you'll find all the info you need. GC/Koni are probably one of the most popular coilovers on h-t so the information base is endless.
What do you use the car for most? Ideal ride Height?
I drive my friends car with them, 450lb front and 400lb rear, i love it as does he. But it really isnt the best setup if your runing around with your girl, she may have a issue with it.
Why is that?
I'm looking for my perfect koni/GC setup for my em1
i love mine.....i got off the shelf rates and honestly couldnt be happier, mind you its a teg, and i have them set to 100% stiff. One other thing they are girlfriend friendly ! lol no complaints here
Yeah I mean this isnt the most talked about combo on honda-tech or any other honda forum for that matter or nothing, no need to search beforehand...

yeah this has been beat to death at this point I hope the mods get involved.
anyways I just got my 450f/450r setup and love it. anyone who says they aren't girlfriend friendly needs to find a woman who complains less honestly when i first drove the car i couldnt believe how close the ride is to stock not harsh at all

No way 450/450 isn't harsh. I have 430/375 and to say that my set up is close to stock smooth would be bullshit, unless I was at stock ride height with the shocks on full softy. Tuning the shocks does wonders but high spring rates on ots yellows is a bit rough.
Some, girls dont like stiff cars, people can say its not stiff, but that is simply their opinon and noithing more. My girl bitches constantly, 650lbf and 450r, There isnt a time where she isnt bitching, it's to stiff blah blah, raise your car up, or my favorite is i hate your ****ing peice of **** car
maybe you haven't been in anything with crappy ebay setups? My chassis is fairly heavy also probably 24xx with me in it. lastly wheels and tires will effect the ride alot. I have been in a ton of modified cars and i still stand by my statement that the ride isn't harsh lol
Where did u guys buy ur g/c ..dat allows u to choose the spring rate u want

this is not necessarily true. If you are dropping more than 2 inches they will help. otherwise it is not really going to make much difference. If you get the SP3 version of the koni yellow they are internally limited by 20mm more than the regular yellows on the droop side of things and thus the extended top hats aren't really a good idea unless your going REALLY slammed.
i would get the ground controls from Vtecvoodoo on nwp, i got mine from him for $315 shipped
and you get to choose your own rates
and you get to choose your own rates
