type r wont start please help

Default type r wont start please help

alright so now the car wont start. i have fuel.......i have spark.......i checked all fuses......even swapped out the ecu and dizzy and still nothing it just cranks. plugs are good.

anyone have any ideas?

Did you try depressing the accelerator slightly. You may be lacking air.

yupp tried that......tired it at 1/4, 1/2 and full and nothing not even a burp.

maby timing?

It very well could be. Do you have a timing light? Also, recheck the wires for the proper order.

wires are good. order is 1-3-4-2 starting from bottom left and going clockwise.

guess ill have to check the timing in the morning.

is thier anything else it could be?

ive never seen this problem and ive been messing with hondas for over 10yrs

I saw that you have fuel but have you checked your fuel pressure?

Also I would check your gas, and do a compression check.

I'd also check fuel pressure and the actual gas. I've had a Chevron station pump 1/8 tank of water in my civic recently. I just cranked all the water out and she ran fine afterwards. So it just cranks, and doesn't attempt to fire?

yupp just cranks and i have 50psi at the rail according to my fuel press guage

yes the valves are fine. it did this after i swapped dizzys. so i put the origional one back in and now it wont crank on either.

Not sure if its possible but could you have maybe put the distributor 180 off in the cam slot? I know one side is slightly larger but ive heard of it happening (never seen it though), just weird that it started after you swapped distributors.

no the distributor was flush.......it wasnt a vtec distrubitor though it was a b20 that i modified. maby something got jacked.

but its weird how these spark and fuel and it wont even burp

fixed!!!!! timing jumped 3 teeth on the intake side
