plan on doing this https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/ex-knuckles-11%22-big-brake-conversion-2103161/ only thing I want to ask is do these have to be off of a 90-91 EX 4 door? and I wasnt sure if it was a EX model cus the emblem was removed but I can still see EX on there, and the VIN# was ###ED4######.... is the the correct vin for the EX model. Should I measure the rotor I have there to make sure its 10.1"? Or what ever the size of the EX model rotor is..and why cant I just use my si knuckles to do this big brake upgrade??!

 

So can anyone who's done this before give me any help or info?

 

absolutely.

if there was a d16a6 in the engine bay on a 4dr, its a EX. the chances of someone swapping a stock A6 in a 4dr is nil.

those look like EX knuckles to me based on the caliper bracket.

 

sweet. Thanks alot. Im most certain i remember seeing '90 on the side of the body. Thats why I took a pic of the caliper bracket to show them on this forum

 

you can use dx or si knuckles to perform the big brake upgrade...
