Oversized Pistons????
OK i have a H22A4 it has only 8k on it. I want to change the piston out to the Type-S pistons. About the oversized, is there anything that can be gained from oversized pistons or do they make those just cause of the wearing of the block after time. Which should i get? I'm at a loss and i don't know which to choose.

There is no real performance advantage to Honda's oversize H22A pistons. They are just intended to be used when rebuilding a block that has had the FRM liners honed.

Well i have to get my crank, rods and pistons balanced. So i have to take the motor apart to do so, cause i had a problem with the oil pump and ran the motor about 9 miles without oil pressure. SO i'm getting mew main and rod bearings and i was thinking while it was out to go ahead and balance it since it was out so i don';t have any future problems. And since i have to do that why not replace the pistons with a little bit higher compression, without having to get the block resleeved and that the Type-S pistons were the way to go. I was just unsure on if i should buy standard or oversized pistons to go in the motor.
If you have the cylinders honed to the overbore spec while the engine is apart, you use the overbore size. If not, you use the regular size. The honing specs and procedure are in the Helm manual. Most people recommend honing before replacing the pistons with new ones, even if there is no visable cylinder wall damage.
