Default IACV...Type R specific?

I have an 01 ITR with a JDM Type R engine and I believe a chipped P28 ECU. What IACV should I order or are they all generic? I was just thinking of ordering a 1996 OBD II Integra and up IACV off ebay as an educated guess.

Also does anyone have any idea what plug this is? It does not go into the IACV as that jack is already plugged with another one. I really want to get this surging idle thing solved before I do any engine mods.

had the same problem never got it fixed but heres what i know
the idle air control vale can be pulled off any b series and they all work the same
however it would probably be best to buy a new one for your car

do you have your full evap system intact? if not im thinking that plug goes into the solenoid

if you dont know what the evap system its the black canister under the battery there should be two tubes leading off the top of it one going to the solenoid which is located where you hand is around

oh and dont go waste your money on a new IACV if you have a friend with a b series motor just pull it off theres for a bit just two bolts and two tubes not that hard to take off and throw it on your check if it fixes the problem

did you bleed the cooling system properly? also are you positive cam timing is correct, also if you have a usdm p73 did you change oil pumps and connect the cfs? did you time the car correctly with the jumper jumped and at full operating temp?

The first thing I did was bleed the coolant and pull off and clean the IACV. Not sure about the timing and oil pump as I bought the car used with the motor already in. Hopefully replacing IACV is the fix.

Could the evap system plug disconnected cause a surging idle? Maybe I should look to plug that first before ordering another IACV

Well an interesting thing happened. I went and looked for a male connector to match that female connector and there was one unhooked hiding beneath the intake manifold. I tried to hook them together but the connector shells do not match and will not snap together. The two lines appear to connect together because I cannot find any other lines not connected but like I said the connector shells do not mesh together. Can anbody elaborate? This car has been one mysterious problem after another.
