Hi thanks for looking at this post. I have a built d16z6 turbo. vitara, Fjt rods, 59300 cam supertech valves, springs, retainers. garrett T3 42/48 60 trim. Any ways I dynoed it at 305whp @ 22psi but wouldnot hit v-tec on the dyno, later found out in was due to oil pressure. changed oil, changed to oem oil pump, checked pickup, changed all rod bearings (all .0015), changed all mains to (.0014-.0016). Turbo inlet has a restrictor. The gauge reads 55psi cold and drops to 15psi at idle, BUT still will only will build to 25- 30 psi no matter what rpm you take it to. thanks for any help

 

Did you replace the pickup gasket and torque the bolts properly?

I suppose you are not losing/burning any oil?

 

Is the pickup touching the oil pan?
What weight oil are you using?

 

the pick up gasket looked great, The oil is 10w 40 mobil one synthetic, and it's a stock pickup and oil pan both look mint.

 

oh ya and it doesn't burn any oil at all and no leaks
