91 civic wandering all over the road!!
Ok well i just bought a 91 civic hatch that when you drive it, its a task to hold it straight on the road...its not pulling one way or the other just kinda going left and right at random, wandering all over if you wanna call it that...what could cause this? alignment was just done the previous owner said, also it has new stuts, springs, tie rods, ball joints look to be in good shape...one of the rear tires is in really bad shape as well as the rear wheel bearings because there making lots of noise...also i think the pass side rear brake is catching because when you jack that side up and try to free spin the wheel it dosent spin very easy...could that cause this???
thanx

The car wondering could be caused by the tires, but also the suspention bushins being worn and a combination of road crown, will cause the car to wander at random. Check the rear trailing arm bushings. Those bushing will brake and cause a lot of movement that changes the rear toe.

You've already identified parts you know are bad, all of which can cause handling problems. Replace bad tires, wheel bearings, and fix the brakes if they're actually sticking. Also, check the bushings like TheAsian said. If that doesn't solve the problem, all you've done is spend money on important stuff that was needed anyway.
In the front, check the radius rod and control arm bushings. Also, ball joints and tie rods can look perfect but still have play in them.

maybe have a belt broke on a tire had that happen before its extra gay and feels just like ur saying and also if u have aftermarket lca's the bushing might be worn to shiznit cause of the way they are install in the air not on the ground where they will be setiing at
I'm telling you, look at your suspension's bushings. The rear trailing arm bushings specifically. You will see tears in it. Jack up the car push on the wheel at 9 o'clock. I'm betting you will be able to move the wheel in slightly by pushing on it. The car is 19 years old. Worn bushings will cause the car to wonder. As road crown changes parts will move due to the worn bushings changing toe and camber while driving. Get a master suspension kit along with new rear trailing arm bushings. All you need to install the bushings is a air hammer and map gas or propain torch. To install the rta rent the kit from auto zone.
