2000 accord, stick, loosing power. PLS HELP!
my pops has a 2000 accord, stick. id drives good but once you drive it for a while or if you drive it when its hot or turn on the a.c it looses power, the engine continues to rev. as you change through the gears but there is no power to the front wheels. the clutch has been changed twice already and thats done no good. it will run perfect on cold wether but as soon it warms up the engine just revs up loosing power as the car continues at a slow pace trying to catch up with the accelerator. my uncle who is a mechanic said it might be a broken sensor. pls any help will be usefull. thank you...
There is no sensor that will cause that symptom in a manual transmission.
The gears in the transmission are a constant mesh. I suspect the problem to be a misadjusted clutch pedal or a problem with the clutch itself. Sounds like the clutch isn't engaging completely.

Sounds like you have air in the clutch line. Once it warms up, the air expands, partially disengaging the clutch. Do you have free play in the pedal when cold, but it goes away once warm?
the clutch has been changed twice, supposedly by the mechanic that it was checked for air in the lines, all i know is that when cold it runs perfect but on hot days or a while of driving the car "hesitates" or revs high as if the clutch was engaged and after shifting through the gears, it remains reving high while the car tries to gain speed
Well, whatever the problem turns out to be it is not inside the transmission or a sensor. Either the hydraulic system as stated before or the clutch itself.
Trusting technicians is probably a hard thing to do. I'm glad I work on my own cars.

Sounds like you need a new mechanic to take a look. Taking it back to the same one over and over who suggests a sensor is the problem isn't who you need.
