I have a h23a1 and im looking to do a h22 head swap and i was wondering if there is even a option for a p13 4 wheel stear ecu. or can i just run a normal p13 ecu with the 4ws car

 

The 4ws computer is located behind your rear driver seat. Your ecu is a completely separate module.

 

yeah i know that but why is the p14 that i have now for a 4 wheel stear car and not just a normal ecu but a honda guy here in town told me i have to have that ecu with 4ws so thats why im asking

 

The "Honda Guy" is bullshitting you. The p14 is from the manual h23 without vtec. Having the 4ws option on the car has nothing to do with your ecu, aside that it will be either the p14 or the automatic equivalent. Like I said before, the ECU has NOTHING to do with your 4ws computer. Hence why people like I am able to do an h22 swap and use a p13 when they didn't make 4ws preludes with the h22 engine.

 

That would be wrong. They just didn't provide them to the United States.

 

True; however, my point still stands. He does not need a special 4ws vtec ecu in order to do the swap.

 

Hey this is off topic but if I wanted to tune my Prelude sh 1998 with a s300 can I use my stock ecu or will I have to get a different one. Or maybe an adapter?

 

Can't chip our preludes ECU's as far as I know, you will need to get a chippable one, like a p28 with a basemap for your engine/mods.
