Would a d15b6 fit on a d15b8 block?
My motor blew a head gasket. I just got the head repaired and compression is good but the block is worn out. I have a d15b8 block I just want to know can i bolt these 2 together without having to switch anything else?
b8 does not come in both 8 and 16 valves thought you want might to get it right so people dont think you dont know what your talking about or so people dont get confused.. thanx
sorry chief, it does come both ways.
the majority of civic cx d15b8 engines had b7 pistons in them

D16SiHatch-You have it right with respect to the block (both 8 valve and 16 valve pistons are used depending on year), but the B8 specific head only comes with 8 valves. Think about it, if it came in 16 valve form it would basically be a B7 engine so why still call it a B8?

i get it, i know the head was not 16v on the b8. what i said was just poorly worded. in my mind i knew i meant to say the b8 block had 8 and 16 valve compatible pistons, but it didn't come out quite that way lol.
