Default RPM and heat dependent screeching noise

My 96 H22a lude has been making a very annoying screeching noise at about 2.5k RPMs. Its been going on for awhile, but has been seeming to get worse. I just went on a roadtrip with it the other day, and drove it about 4-5 hours on the highway that day. And now it seems even worse.

The weird thing about it, is that the engine has to be completely warm or it will not make the noise at all. It does it right around the 2.5k RPM range. I have tried driving around and warming it up then park it in neutral and rev it to try to pinpoint where the noise is coming from, but it doesn't do it if I'm not driving.

I sprayed the belts with some silicon spray to see if that would affect it, but it didn't do anything. Another thought I had is if it is a noise from something vibrating, but I have no idea what it could be.

If anyone has an idea of what this annoying screech could be let me know. I would post a video of the noise but thats hard to do when it doesn't make any noise when I'm in neutral.

I checked the tension on the belts and they seemed fine. Could it be like a bad bearing in the alternator?

Could be any number of bearings as well that expand as they heat up and are creating friction somewhere. I'd take a guess at the throwout bearing as I've had that happen before and it makes a very annoying screeching sound after it's warmed up, and is particularly worse after long freeway drives.

yeah throwout bearings will too, just with the info its the first i thought of, i remember i used to turn my defroster on and the belt would screech even tight so the belt was just slipping. id replace it anywho

I felt the tension and it seemed fine. I also had a few mechanics feel them and they said they were ok, and one of them said if anything then the one might be a bit too tight.

I don't think its the throwout bearing, because I had that replaced along with my clutch when I had my h22a put in, and that was only about 3000 miles ago.

I was also just at a local Prelude meet then a honda/acura meet this weekend, which involved quite a bit of driving. And it does seem a little worse than it was. But it still doesn't make the noise unless the motor is very warm. It kinda seems like it won't even make the noise until after I get on it to really get the motor warmed up.
