please help

i have a nuts and bolts rattling sound underneath when steping on the gas and especially starting off from a stop. i have checked the heat sheilds under neath and that is not it. what could this be please help

 

Either the cat converter or the resonator on the B pipe has gone bad from the inside and creates the annoying rattle. Very common on Civics and Tegs.

 

no this rattling is coming directly from the motor could it be the engine mounts and one is broken ????

 

Check if the bolts that hold the oil cooler to the block or the header bracket are tight or have come off.

Best way is to raise the car on jackstands or on a shop lift and check under it while someone is reving the engine to create the rattle.

 

This is correct.

Check every bolt in the affected area to make sure they are tight. It could be a large number of things.

 

The weird thing is that it doesnt do it at idle when i rev it. its when i start off when letting up the clutch i hear a terrible nuts and bolts rattle and when im driving every so often when i give it gas

 

Hopefully the flywheel bolts were all torqued properly. One of my buddies had his clutch installed and flywheel resurfaced. When installed one of the flywheel bolts backed out and made a $hitty noise.
