Default Price of slicks

The M/T in size 24.5 x 9-13 are $193/ea from summit. I swear it was only about a yr ago when they were $160/ea. WTF? Don't say inflation.....no pun intended

I'm guessing i'm not gonna find a better price than this huh?

yes MT pricing has gone up $5 every few months or so. Its creeped up to that much the last year. Its up I know at least $15 on the Wholesale end just in 12 months.

MH pricing has stayed pretty firm for the past few years.

Raw materials have been going on up on different industries. Some have just absorbed the costs the last couple years. There will be pricing adjustments in the next 12 months for sure in rubber, aluminum, etc... thats for sure.

They are cheaper becuase alot of domestic cars run them... supply and demand.. Just like you can buy a 15x10 weld from summit for $379 and then a damn 15x3.5 skinny is $450!

I do remember when summit was selling them for $160/tire. And I kinda understand the pricing increases. I order mine direct and every year, I have to order them early because they are ALWAYS out of stock, usually 1-2months. Reason being is all those big tire companys online buying em up. the 24.5" MT slick is probably one of the most popular tire used by imports. Supply n demand.

Discount tire wil beat the advertised price of Summit by $10 , you have to go in or call and tell them what you want, they can get anything almost.

M/T has gone up over the last few months... My local tire guy had a quote for $160/ea. for the M/T ET Streets when he called to order the price changed to $210 each

Yes, that is their only bummer! Someone in the 13" wheel size needs to step up and make MT be more competitive on tire price. I know there is m/h but there just arent that many seriously competitive people running them. Hoosiers were on sale like $139/ea I think a long while back for some 24.5x9. I guess people are scared to step away from the mt's?
Me as a regular ol Joe trying to go fast will make a set of slicks last a season, some swap them every race.
