I just got an 88' CRX HF(in pretty bad shape). I want to put a dohc engine in it but i'm not sure witch one, i'm leaning to the b18c1 but i don't won't to get in over my head with work that i can't do(the wiring mainly), any advice?

 

DOHC ZC bolts right in and doesn't cost a ton of money

 

ya man go with a zc i love mine i bought a motor only for 600. i used the cars tranny mounts all that its so cheap its crazy they shure feel like they have more that 130(hp)

 

I'll go with them in the ZC.

 

Its an HF, I'd just restore it.

Its hard to find an unmolested HF, you've got a gem there. But if the bodies beat to hell, I guess I'd just make it go fast.

 

Man I sold a complete DOHC ZC a while back for $50 to someone to use for parts. Would have been nice to sell it to someone to actually use, oh well.

I do have a good DOHC ZC crank still if anyone needs it.

 

I just picked up a 1991 CRX HF for 1600 bucks, body and interior or in Good-Excellent Shape...are these little cars rare? Please excuse my naiveness....

the car is a rust-bucket so restore would take alot of money that i don't have(i'm a college student) i looked up the dohc zc and it looks like a real good motor, i found one in my area for $350. i'm start work on it this month, thanks you guy.
