sounds like a dizzy issue to me make sure your wires are pinned correctly if you have to do a continuity test from wire to wire to the ecu

if it was a dizzy issue it would have a rought start and/ or wouldnt start at all correct?

it starts up fine and idles perfect but the like i said its sluggish all the way to 3500 and wont go past 3500 rpms at all

looking around on the web could this be a tps problem? i know there are two plugs on the driver side that are exactly the same i beleive... not near the car now will check later when im done here at work.. but if they are/ can be pluged in worng will it cause this problem? and can this be causeed from timing being off by two tooth making it not go over 3500 rpms?

most things that cause it to go into limp mode will cause a Check Engine Light - do you have codes showing from the ECU?

p28 ecus dont have the lil glass window u have to jump the ecu off the jumper harness if there isant a jumper you will have to research which ones will jump it to read check engine codes threw the check engine light on the dash

with OBD1 ECU like P28, you don't check codes by looking at the LED on the ECU like OBD0 ECUs - you need to jumper across the Service Check Connector (ignition timing adjusting) on the harness which will cause the Check Engine Light on the dash to flash - you count the flashes of the CEL

I just did a Mini Me swap as well, Make sure your TPS sensor is good, or your ecu could be bad as it was chipped and some retards fawk them up and sell them. If you can get a hold of someone with a vigin p28 try putting it in and if works fine you know your problem. If not I would move on to the TPS sensor.
