its almost winter and my heat sucks
I start my car early in the moring so it will warm up. But latly my heat won't come on. It will only start working when i start driving. and it still isn't very strong. Anyone know what the problom good be. and if it will be easy to fix????
There is a coolant line that runs from the head to a "valve" near the firewall. It then runs to the heat exchanger in the heater unit, and back out right near the thermostat. Verify that the coolant line is not crimped or blocked off and that the linkage from the heater unit is still connected to said valve...

Remove your exhaust manifold heat shield if you have one and this will allow heat from the exhaust to soak into your radiator, increasing your coolant temperature. Your engine won't run any hotter, but your feet will catch fire!
The guys with headers know what I'm talking about...

ok the fact that it works when you're moving but not when its parked leads me to believe that one of your fan motors isnt workin. Check out the manual (on my sig) and research the heating system. In addition to that there are 2 valves to open, the *** adjustment from hot to cold usually opens them but if one of the 2 cables that pulls them open came off it wont open one, these 2 valves open up hot coolant flow through the heater core. One is under the dash on the passenger side and the other is against the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay, its one of 2 coolant lines that runs inside the car (in/out) the in line has the valve, its on top. You'll see it. make sure they're both opening all the way.
